Community Engine builds and sells social business and community engagement software, with a purpose. Our products help people publish and connect; to share and interact about what's important to them socially, professionally and emotionally. To fuel our continued growth, we're searching for exceptional talent to join our head office located on the Northern Beaches at Brookvale (near Manly).
We are looking for a talented, creative digital Design Director looking to take ownership of a new and dynamic brand.
Who are you?
You have at least ten years of traditional and digital media experience in a cross section of creative design disciplines. Your skills will include art direction, interactive design, user interface design and information architecture.
The position calls for the ability to marry great design with utility and scalability in a Product Development environment - it's about Design and how it is applied in a contemporary technology and social media company.
The Design Director will provide direction and concept development for all the interface and theme designs at Community Engine. You will produce design that carries our company values of simplicity, user friendliness, compelling and long lasting.
This role is about three streams of work:
- Work with the social media technology product team and be the custodian of the art direction for our technology platform products.
- Inspire a design team (art director & designers) to deliver quality art design for our clients' sites and platforms.
- Develop and explore where we can take Community Engine's brand design in our marketing, promotions and customer experiences across various mediums and platforms.
To deliver on those three streams of work you will design or oversee design of online and marketing projects, from concept to implementation using Adobe software and design tools. Importantly you will be responsible for the QA of all design works leaving Community Engine.
