Community Engine Announces Senior Appointments

PRESS RELEASE: Social networking and community engagement technology company Community Engine today announced it had made two senior executive appointments as it gears up for major expansion in the coming year.

Craig Compton has joined the company as technology director to lead Community Engine’s technical team and oversee the development of the company’s social networking technology, platform and products. Craig was previously Technology Director of digital agency Bullseye.

Sam Stonier has joined as operations director, to oversee production planning, resource allocation and management of the company ensuring that the business, projects and outputs run smoothly. Sam was previously service delivery manager at News Digital Media.

Community Engine managing director, Piers Hogarth-Scott, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Craig and Sam to the company where they are an important addition to our management team and will play a pivotal role in our ongoing expansion.”

“With their skill sets, Craig and Sam will help Community Engine to deliver cutting-edge community engagement technology to our rapidly growing customer base.”

Hogarth-Scott added that Community Engine’s recent rapid growth had also meant the company was in a recruitment drive to fill 10 new positions including an office manager, web project manager, software engineers, an account director and a digital art director to boost its staff of 30 at the company’s Brookvale headquarters on Sydney’s northern beaches.

Established two years ago, Community Engine enables organisations – ranging from large companies to not-for-profit associations – to harness the power of social networking and community engagement technology to increase revenue, decrease costs, and improve stakeholder satisfaction.

This can be in the form of connecting businesses to their customers, associations to their members, politicians to their constituents, management to their staff or people to their communities.

Community Engine’s clients include Qantas, New South Wales Government, Australian Government, Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia, Events New South Wales, the Australia Council for the Arts, the ACTU and Australia’s largest community radio licensee, FBi Radio.
