PRESS RELEASE: Social networking and community engagement technology company Community Engine has unveiled a significantly enhanced website that features a raft of innovative product developments that are unique in the Australian landscape.
For the first time, organisations wanting an easy, fast and cost-effective way of tapping into the communications phenomenon that is social networking can do so simply by choosing from a comprehensive selection of products designed by Community Engine.
Established two years ago, Community Engine enables organisations – ranging from large companies to not-for-profit associations – to harness the power of social networking and community engagement technology to increase revenue, decrease costs and improve stakeholder satisfaction.
This can be in the form of connecting businesses to their customers, associations to their members, politicians to their constituents, management to their staff or people to their communities.
The company calls these new products “engines” and they have been devised to suit virtually any type of organisation.
Sixteen product engines have been developed for use across a wide variety of industry categories – including FMCGs, unions, associations, government, travel and tourism, media arts and entertainment, charities and corporate social responsibility.
In the consumer goods category, Community Engine has developed a customer participation engine which enables FMCG companies to gather critical customer feedback, generate brand advocacy and use their customers to help develop ideas and define business strategy.
The customer participation engine is designed to create communities around brands, assist in breaking down the traditional barriers of communication between companies and their customers, to understand who their customers really are and what they really want, and to let customers have their say in what companies do.
Community Engine managing director Piers Hogarth-Scott said: “In the consumer goods category, the social networking era is all about making it easy for customers to talk to companies and to each other.
“The way we’ve designed our social networking engines means companies, organisations and associations can come to us for a modular, cost effective and future proof product that’s more effective than tailor-made technology platform but significantly cheaper and easier to use.”
Among the other engines now featured on Community Engine’s website are a sport and recreation engine for associations and industry bodies, political and union engines, a travel engine and a professional association engine.
“We’re providing heavy lifting social networking and community engagement technology that enables a wide range of organisations to increase revenue, decrease costs and improve stakeholder satisfaction” Hogarth-Scott said.
Headquartered in Brookvale on Sydney’s northern beaches with local offices in most of Australia’s capital cities, Community Engine is undergoing a period of rapid expansion as demand for its products increases exponentially.
Community Engine’s growing client base includes Qantas, New South Wales Government, Australian Government, Mortgage & Finance Association of Australia, Events New South Wales, the Australia Council for the Arts, the ACTU and Australia’s largest community radio licensee, FBi Radio.
