Designer

Community Engine is an Australian owned software company that is building the next generation of Social Media products.  With strong demand for a number of exciting new products, Community Engine is growing.  We are looking for a Designer to join our team.  The role is located in the Northern Beaches of Sydney (Brookvale).  It is a permanent role with an immediate start.

About the Role:

  • A Designer will provide strategic direction and concept development for online projects, including web graphics, from concept to implementation using design software and authoring tool as Adobe
  • Responsible for overall look and feel of websites
  • Excellent interface design skills
  • Good core knowledge with adobe products, Photoshop, illustrator, indesign
  • Have an exceptional eye for detail with all work
  • An understanding of branding identity
  • Experience in using Usability and IA theory to assist with wireframe development and interface design
  • Excellent knowledge of and passion for trends in interface design
  • Able to interpret creative concepts (rationales, scamps and/or wireframes) and pre-empt any optimisation issues
  • Have the ability to develop and present creative concepts (rationales, scamps and/or wireframes)
  • Have very good presentation skills to help sell ideas or designs to key project stakeholders
  • Solid all rounder, in online design

About the Candidate:

  • A traditional design background is preferred
  • At least 5 years industry experience
  • An outstanding portfolio with top-notch samples of digital work
